The Add to Locker Window

Locker is designed to save you time when you bring music in. When you add audio files, it automatically:

• Reads the track name from each filename
• Groups versions of the same song together, and spots instrumentals, a cappellas and demos
• Reads writer names from your filenames (e.g., [ASmith BJones])
• Matches those names to your People to help build credits
• Reads tempo or key when the filename carries them
• Shows you everything before anything is saved

Ways to Add

• The plus: press it and choose Files from this computer (on a phone, Files on this phone). The Add to Locker window opens so you can check and tidy before uploading
• Drag and drop: drop files or folders anywhere onto Locker. If a playlist or folder is open, what you add goes there
• From a track: add files from a track's Files tab, and they go to that track as new versions, stems or other files
• Dropbox and Google Drive: connect them once and add straight from your drive. See Connected Folders and Drives
• Locker for Mac: bounces in a watched folder come in by themselves

What You Can Add

Audio in all the common formats:

• WAV, AIFF and FLAC: studio quality
• MP3, AAC, M4A and ALAC
• OGG, Opus, WMA and WebM

Alongside your audio you can add pictures (to use as cover art), documents to attach to a track, lyric files in .txt or .docx (they become lyric sheets), and catalogue sheets in CSV, Excel or Numbers (they become knowledge, see Exporting Your PRO Catalogue).

Filename Conventions

Locker reads writer names from common filename patterns:

• Square brackets: Song Name [ASmith BJones].mp3
• Hyphens inside brackets: Song [ASmith-BJones-CWilson].mp3
• Round brackets holding a list of names: Song (A Smith, B Jones).mp3
• Featuring: Song feat. A Smith.mp3
• Names after a dash: Song - A Smith - B Jones.mp3
