Our story
We started Locker because we couldn't understand why managing music was still so difficult.
Making music has never been more collaborative. That's a brilliant thing. But every new project brings more people, more files and more versions. Do that for a few years and you don't just have a handful of songs to manage, you have an entire catalogue spread across hard drives, cloud storage, inboxes and messaging apps.
Nobody's doing anything wrong.
It's simply what happens when creative people work together.

Joe & Sam, London
Locker started with Joe, who's spent years writing and producing records for artists including Ellie Goulding, Zara Larsson, Lukas Graham, Lily Allen, NATE, IVE and Little Mix. Across countless sessions, the same challenge kept coming up. The music wasn't the difficult part. Everything around it was.
To turn the idea into something bigger, Joe teamed up with his lifelong friend, Sam. While Joe has spent his career making records, Sam has spent nearly two decades helping some of the world's leading software companies grow, while staying close to the music industry throughout.
Different backgrounds. Same frustration.
So we built Locker.
Not to replace the tools people already love. Your DAW is still your DAW. Your plugins are still your plugins. We just wanted to build the place where everything around the music finally made sense.
One home for demos, stems, lyrics, versions, collaborators, feedback and projects. A place where your catalogue stays connected, searchable and easy to manage, whether you've written ten songs or ten thousand.
We're still a small team, and we plan to keep it that way for as long as we can. We spend our time talking to artists, songwriters, producers, managers and labels, then building the things they tell us they actually need.
We're building the product we always wished we'd had.
What we believe
The principles behind everything we build.
Your work stays yours
You own your music and your data, full stop. We never sell it, and we never use it to train AI or generate music.
AI for the chores, not the craft
Kii handles the admin so you don't have to. It doesn't write your songs or touch your sound. Locker never makes the music. You do.
Security by default
Your unreleased music is valuable. We treat protecting it as a core feature, not an afterthought.
