Connected Folders and Drives
Connect a folder on your computer, Dropbox or Google Drive, and Locker keeps an eye out for new music.
What a Connection Does
Instead of adding files one batch at a time, you can connect the places your music already lives. Locker reads what is there and lists what it finds under Tasks, in Suggestions, so you choose what comes in. Nothing is added to your catalogue without you.
Connecting
Everything Locker is connected to lives in one list: open Settings, then Connections.
- A folder on this computer: choose Add a folder. Works on a computer, not a phone
- Dropbox: press Connect and choose the folders to watch. Locker hears about new files as they land
- Google Drive: press Connect. Locker checks it for new files regularly
- Downloads (in Locker for Mac): connect your Downloads folder and Locker offers you any audio you download, never adding it by itself
Browsers forget folder access between visits, so a connected folder may ask you to allow it again. It shows in Connections, and on Home, with an Allow button right there.
Looking After a Connection
Each connection shows Working, Needs you or Off. Its ··· menu has Check for new files now, Allow access again, See what it found, More details and Disconnect. Disconnecting stops Locker looking; nothing already in your catalogue is removed.
