Meet Kii
Kii is Locker's built-in AI assistant, purpose-built for music professionals. Kii understands your catalog, your workflow, and the context of what you're doing, so you can manage your entire library through natural conversation.
Open Kii with ⌘K (Cmd+K) from anywhere in Locker, or click the Kii icon in the toolbar.

Catalog Management
Kii can take real actions on your catalog through natural language, no menus or clicks required:
- Find tracks: Search by description, mood, genre, BPM range, key, instruments, or any combination
- Tag management: Add, remove, or bulk-edit tags across multiple tracks at once
- Create playlists: Build playlists from natural language descriptions (e.g., "Create a chill acoustic playlist")
- Duplicate detection: Find and manage duplicate versions across your library
- Gap analysis: Identify tracks with missing metadata, tags, or incomplete information
- Catalog insights: Get stats and breakdowns of your library by genre, mood, key, or any criteria
- Brief matching: Match tracks from your catalog against creative briefs
- Submission review: Review and assess track submissions against requirements
Playback & Navigation
Kii can control your Locker experience hands-free:
- Play, pause, skip, or queue any track or playlist
- Open the inspector for any track
- Navigate to any page (library, playlists, contacts, projects, messaging)
- Switch between views (list, grid, etc.)
- Select or deselect tracks for batch operations
Context-Aware
Kii is aware of what you're doing in Locker at any moment. It knows which track you're inspecting, which filters you have active, how many tracks are selected, and what page you're on, so it can give relevant answers and take the right actions without you needing to explain the context.
Try selecting a few tracks and then asking Kii to "tag these as sync-ready" or "add these to my pitch playlist", it knows exactly which tracks you mean.
Safety & Control
Kii has a built-in safety system to keep you in control. Before executing any action that modifies your catalog, Kii shows a preview of exactly what it's about to do and waits for your confirmation.
- Safety Mode: Always preview actions before executing (on by default)
- Execution Summaries: Detailed summaries after every action completes
- Batch Threshold: Set a limit for how many tracks Kii can modify at once before requiring confirmation
Configure these in Settings → AI Assistant (Kii).
Even with Safety Mode off, destructive actions like deletions always require confirmation. Your data is always protected.
