The Writing Room
The Writing Room is Locker's full-page lyric editor, built for songwriters. Open any lyric to write in it, or start a new one from the plus. Write in sections (Verse, Chorus, your own names), and everything saves as you type.
Locker never writes lyrics for you. The tools are there to help you find words and chords, and the words are always yours.

Songwriter Tools
Beside the sheet sit the songwriter tools:
- Ideas: your concepts, lines and voice notes from Ideas, ready to drop into the sheet
- Voice: record takes on the section you are singing, so each idea stays with its words
- Words: one search for rhymes, near rhymes, similar words, opposites and trigger words to spark new lines, with a syllable filter. It is a dictionary, not AI
- Chords: set a key, tempo and meter, build a progression from a key wheel, a library of classic progressions or an on-screen piano, and loop it while you write. Each section can have its own chords, and you can play the whole song front to back
- Find chords from a melody: hum or sing after a count-in and Locker suggests chords that fit, with brighter, darker and simpler alternatives. It works on any voice note too
- Export: download your chords as a MIDI file or a plain text chord sheet to take into the studio
Formatting
The editor supports font, size and text colour, plus highlight, bold, italic, underline and strikethrough. Changes are saved automatically.
More Than One Lyric
A track can have several lyric sheets, useful for rewrites, translations, or alternate takes. One is the Main lyric; drag another onto it to make that one Main. Lyrics that are not on a track yet wait in Ideas until you add them to one.
