Kii

Kii AI Assistant

Your catalogue assistant: ask anything about your music and get things done in plain words.

Meet Kii

Kii is Locker's AI assistant, built for people who work in music. It knows your catalogue: your tracks and versions, lyrics, credits and splits, people, playlists, briefs, links and who listened, so you can ask about any of it in plain words.

Type a question in search (the magnifier at the top of the dock, or Cmd+K) and press Enter, and Kii answers right there. Or open Kii's own panel with Cmd+J (Ctrl+J on Windows) from anywhere in Locker.

Kii AI Assistant Overview

What You Can Ask

  • Find tracks: by description, mood, genre, BPM range, key, instruments, who wrote them, or any mix ("upbeat pop in A minor I wrote with Sam")
  • Answer questions: how many tracks have no credits, who has listened to a link, what is missing before a release
  • Tidy up: add, remove or rename tags across many tracks, find duplicates and gaps, and fill in missing details
  • Make playlists: from a description ("a chill acoustic playlist for a sync pitch")
  • Match briefs: find the tracks in your catalogue that fit a brief, with how close each one is and why
  • Brief submissions: see what has come in through your brief links, and accept or decline it
  • Plans and tasks: what is coming up on your Calendar, and what is waiting on you

Kii's answers carry cards that open what they name: a track opens on Music with its panel beside the answer, and "Show all on Music" puts the whole answer on the page as a filter.

You Stay in Control

Small changes, like adding a tag, run straight away and tell you whether History can undo them. Anything bigger shows you a preview first and waits for your OK:

  • Deleting or removing anything
  • Credits, splits and ownership
  • Changing many tracks at once

Every change Kii makes is in your History, marked as done by Kii, so you can see it and undo it.

Kii never writes lyrics or makes music for you, and it never sends messages to anyone outside Locker. It can read your lyrics to answer questions about them, and the words stay yours.

Honest Answers

Kii checks its counts and titles against your catalogue before it answers, says when it only had part of the picture (for example, when some tracks have not been analysed yet), and asks which track you mean when two share a title.
