Creating Share Links
Share links let you share content with anyone, even people without a Locker account. Generate a link, send it however you like, and the recipient can access the shared content in their browser.
Link Controls
Share links come with powerful access controls:
- Role: Set the link to grant Editor or Viewer access
- Expiration: Set the link to expire after a specific date
- Max uses: Limit the number of times the link can be used
- Download permission: Control whether recipients can download files
- Email gate: Require recipients to enter their email before accessing
Share links are powerful but public, anyone with the link can access the content (within the controls you set). For sensitive material, prefer direct sharing with specific collaborators.
