Around Locker
Briefs
Requests for music, matched against your catalogue.
What a Brief Is
A brief is a request for music: an A&R looking for songs for an artist, a supervisor looking for a sync, or your own search for songs. Briefs has its own place in Locker. The briefs you owe someone an answer on come first.
Working on a Brief
- Start one from the plus (choose Brief), paste or describe what is wanted, or add the brief's document
- Locker matches your catalogue against each thing the brief asks for, and says how close each track is and why
- Sort the tracks into To review, Ready to send and Set aside
- Send the ready tracks with a share link, and record what you sent
Collecting music from other people? A brief link lets writers send tracks in. What arrives waits on the brief for you to accept or decline.
